Head West Young Man
JJ has reached an agreement to play for the Oakland Athletics next season. The deal was finalized today.
"It is a good fit for me, I will be ready to give it my all when spring training opens" JJ said. "There were a couple of other offers but I felt that Oakland was a the right place"

I'm a huge A's fan with the nickname "JJ" so imagine my surprise today as I was listening to the first radio broadcast of the season when I heard that we have a guy playing shortstop by the name of "JJ Fur-Maniac."
I was beside myself.
Furthermore, I learned to drive in Naperville (while living in Warrenville) and even furthermore I'm a hairy guy so I can just see my name evolving as we speak.
I think there's a Furmaniak jersey in my future.
I'm headed to spring training next week. Anyway to get a note to JJ that some crazy A's fans are coming to town and we'd love to buy him a steak or something?
