JJ Hits Game Winning 3 Run Homer!

Pirates at the plate: Center fielder Chris Duffy, who was sidelined for a week by a mild concussion after being hit in the head by a pitch on March 11, doubled down the left-field line in his first at-bat and struck out in his final three plate appearances. Bucs All-Star left fielder and Canadian native Jason Bay went 2-for-2, including a two-run home run in the fourth inning. J.J. Furmaniak's three-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning put the Pirates ahead to stay.

JJ Homer's in Pirates Win

Pirates at the plate: Rajai Davis led off the Pirates attack with four hits, including an RBI double, and two runs scored. Jack Wilson drove him in both times, including a squeeze bunt in the fourth inning that caught the Tigers defense off-guard. Freddy Sanchez had three hits and three RBIs, and J.J. Furmaniak capped the outburst with a mammoth solo homer in the ninth.
